Our Manual Handling e-learning course provides learners with the essential knowledge and skills required to perform manual handling tasks safely. This flexible online course covers the basics of manual handling, including correct lifting techniques, risk assessment, and injury prevention. The course is designed for those who need a convenient way to complete the theory portion of manual handling training. To achieve full certification, learners must also complete an in-person practical assessment.

Course Content

The Manual Handling e-learning course includes the following modules:

  1. Introduction to Manual Handling – Overview of manual handling and its relevance to workplace safety.
  2. Anatomy and Common Injuries – Understanding how manual handling tasks impact the body.
  3. Risk Assessment – Identifying hazards and assessing risks in manual handling.
  4. Safe Handling Techniques – Learning and applying proper techniques for lifting, carrying, and moving loads.
Course Duration

The e-learning portion is self-paced, allowing learners to complete it at their convenience. Typically, the online module takes approximately 1-2 hours to complete.

Assessment & Certification

To achieve full certification, learners must complete a practical assessment in person. This hands-on session, guided by a certified instructor, enables learners to demonstrate safe manual handling techniques in a controlled environment. Practical sessions can be scheduled at our training centre or arranged on-site for group bookings.

Learners will receive a Certificate of Completion for the e-learning module. Upon successful completion of both the e-learning module and the in-person practical assessment, participants will receive a full Manual Handling Completion Certificate, recognised as meeting workplace health and safety requirements.
