The Infection Control Awareness e-learning course includes:

1. Introduction to Infection Control – Overview of infection control principles and their importance in workplace safety.
2. Pathogens and Transmission – Understanding common pathogens, transmission routes, and how infections spread.
3. Hand Hygiene and PPE – Best practices for handwashing, using hand sanitiser, and selecting appropriate PPE.
4. Cleaning and Disinfection – Guidelines for effective cleaning, disinfecting surfaces, and waste management to reduce infection risks.
5. Risk Assessment for Infection Control – Steps to assess and mitigate infection risks in the workplace.

The e-learning module is self-paced, allowing learners to complete it at their convenience. The course typically takes 1-2 hours to finish.

Participants are assessed through interactive quizzes and a final online test. Upon successful completion, learners will receive an Infection Control Awareness Certificate of Completion, recognised as meeting basic infection control training requirements.
